Ray V. Hewitt, Chairman of the Board
| Ray V. Hewitt, Chairman of the Board, is a native of Clear Lake and returned to his hometown in 1973 frm Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he served as president of the Marine National Bank. Upon his return, he held the position of president and CEO of Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company until 1998, when his son, Mark Hewitt, returned to Clear Lake and assumed this position. He is a member of the Clear Lake Rotary Club and once served as president of the organization. For many years, has was on the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Clear Lake Economic Development Corporation. |
Mark C. Hewitt, President & CEO
| President & CEO Mark Hewitt started his banking career in 1985 and worked for two large regional banks prior to joining CLB&T. Hewitt is a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University where he earned his MBA. He also holds a BS degree in finance from Drake University. Hewitt currently serves on the boards of: the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; Mercy Medical Center North Iowa; The Iowa Bankers Association; and the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation. |
Paul K. Stevenson, Sr. Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, Commercial Banking
| Paul Stevenson is the bank’s chief credit officer and is responsible for all lending activities of the bank. He also manages the bank’s commercial banking department and manages a sizeable commercial loan portfolio. Stevenson began his banking career in 1989 with a large multi-state bank holding company before joining CLB&T in 1997. He earned his BA degree in Finance and Banking from Buena Vista University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado. Stevenson has been actively involved in the community serving on the boards of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce (Past President); the Clear Lake Economic Development Corporation; the John Pappajohn Business & Entrepreneurial Center at NIACC; and the Clear Lake Revolving Loan Fund. He also serves on the Clear Lake Community School’s board of education and has been instrumental in ensuring the ongoing operation of Clear Lake’s historic Surf Ballroom. |
Matthew J. Ritter, Vice President/Cashier. IT/Operations

Matt Ritter is responsible for management of bank operations and technology. A CLB&T employee since 1993, Ritter has his MBA from Drake University, BA degree in finance & banking from Buena Vista University, and AA degree from NIACC. He has also attended the BAI Graduate School of Bank Operations & Technology at Vanderbilt University and the Graduate School of Bank Investments & Financial Management at the University of South Carolina. He serves on the National User Group board of directors for Jack Henry & Associates. Ritter has also served on the board of the Clear Lake Public Library, the Clear Lake Public Library Foundation, and the NIACC Alumni Advisory Board.
Robin A. Bratvold, Vice President/Cashier. Real Estate Lending
Robin Bratvold began her banking career in 1974 and is the bank's expert in real estate lending. Bratvold attended Mankato State University and has also participated in numerous seminars and classes related to her field. She also acts as the bank's compliance officer. Her community involvement includes working with the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and the Clear Lake Rotary group.
Susan R. Finnegan, Vice President, Teller Operations
Sue Finnegan joined CLB&T in 1977 after attending North Iowa Area Community College and the University of Northern Iowa. Finnegan, a Clear Lake native, is a well known face behind the teller line in the Clear Lake office. In addition to her teller management duties, she has also played an integral role in bank marketing and advertising as well as the ongoing operation of the bank's Clear Sailing "55" program. Finnegan is involved with the United Way Mentoring Program and the NIACC Performing Arts Leadership Board. She has also volunteered her time to act as the treasurer for local political campaigns.
Jane B. Humphrey, Vice President. Consumer Lending
Jane Humphrey, a CLB&T employee since 1983, is one of the consumer loan officers in our Clear Lake office. She is responsible for working with customers requesting all types of consumer loans, including: personal loans; auto loans; home equity loans; and home equity lines of credit. Humphrey attended Hamilton Business School and is involved the American Heart Association and Beta Sigma Phi.
Kathryn A. Kadolph, Vice President, Human Resources
Kathi Kadolph is responsible for all aspects of the bank's human resources department, including: recruitment; employee benefits administration; staffing; and education coordination. In prior years, she assisted customers with real estate loans and new deposit accounts and was also an executive assistant to the bank president. Kadolph attended both Hamilton Business College and Mankato State University and is involved with Financial Women International, Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce First Mates, United Way of North Central Iowa, American Heart Association, and the Ventura School's Booster Club. Kadolph has been employed with CLB&T since 1979.
Todd M. Kirkpatrick, Vice President, Commercial Banking, Mason City Office

Todd Kirkpatrick, vice president in the commercial banking department, is responsible for working with current and prospective commercial customers in the Mason City market. Todd's banking career extends back to 1990 and he joined CLB&T in 2007 when the bank opened its new Mason City Office.
Debra R. McIntire, Vice President. Operations
Deb McIntire has been with CLB&T since 1979. She is responsible for all teller operations of the bank, including teller staffing, education/training, compliance, policies, and procedures. McIntire attended Hamilton Business College and was previously involved with the Clear Lake Athletic League, the CARES post-prom party, and the St. Patrick Church Auction. She also volunteers her time to help several organizations with their betterment projects.
Paula J. Petersburg, Vice President, Trust Department
Paula Petersburg is responsible for management and administration of the CLB&T trust department. She has been working in the banking industry since 1985 and brings with her many years of trust related experience. Petersburg is an attorney who earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and her BA in history from Luther College. She serves the community through her involvement with the Clear Lake Rotary Club, Clear Lake Community Foundation, and Clear Lake Arts Center.
Gary R. Peterson, Vice President, Consumer Lending
A CLB&T employee since 1979, Gary Peterson is responsible for management of the bank's consumer loan department. In this capacity, Peterson works with a large number of the bank's customers; underwriting auto loans; boat loans; personal watercraft loans; recreational vehicle loans; vacation loans; home equity lines of credit; home equity loans, etc. He also works with several car dealers in North Iowa to provide affordable and responsible auto loans. Peterson earned his BS from Iowa State University and attended the graduate school of banking. He has been involved with a wide array of community organizations, including: United Way; Clear Lake Noon Lions Club; Clear Lake Youth League; North Iowa Cyclone Board; and United Methodist Church.
Gerald "Chip" Thiedeman, Vice President, Garner Office Manager
Chip Thiedeman has been the manager of CLB&T Garner Office since 1996. He is responsible for working with consumer and commercial deposit and loan customers in the Garner area, as well as other facets of branch management. Thiedeman has been involved with many North Iowa community organizations and activities, which include the Hancock County Memorial Hospital; Garner Chamber of Commerce; Garner Area Betterment Association; Garner Lions Club; NIACC-Garner Education Center Advisory Board; and the Garner City Revolving Loan Fund Committee. He earned his BA from Iowa State University.
Marcus R. Younge, Vice President, Ag/Commercial Lending

Marc Younge, vice president, works closely with the bank's commercial and agricultural loan customers to ensure their financing needs are met to ensure a successful and well maintained operation. A CLB&T employee since 2005 and a banker since 1995, Younge earned his BS in management & finance from Drake University and attended the Iowa Commercial Lending School. He currently serves on the Opportunity Village Board of Directors. Younge is a past president of the Ventura School Foundation Board, Congregational Chairman of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and Clear Lake Chamber board member. He has also been involved with Cerro Gordo County 4-H, Cerro Gordo County Cattleman Association, and Ventura Betterment Committee.
Pat Goedken, Vice President, Agricultural and Commercial Banking, Mason City Office

Paula J. Zimmerman, Assistant Vice President, Retail Banking Officer
| Paula Zimmerman, assistant vice president, joined CLB&T in 2007 as the bank's new office in Mason City neared completion. Zimmerman began her career in banking in 1980 and attended North Iowa Area Community College. She has been involved with Sunrise Rotary Club of Mason City and is on the board of Good Shepherd nursing home; the council secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church; past member of the North Iowa Band Festival Committee; and a United Way volunteer. Zimmerman works with new and existing bank customers in Mason City to help them with their deposit and loan account needs. |
Christopher J. Deets, Assistant Vice President, Commercial Banking

A CLB&T employee since 2006 and banker since 1999, Deets earned his AA from NIACC and his BA in finance from the University of Northern Iowa. He is the Treasurer of the Mason City Chamber Commerce, Treasurer of Meals on Wheels of Mason City, and Past President and current Treasurer of Mason City Youth Baseball Association. He also serves on the United Way of North Central Iowa's Board of Directors and is a Mason City Chamber Diplomat. |
Joan M. Hanson, Assistant Vice President, Garner Office
| Joan M. Hanson, assistant vice president, works in the Garner office assisting customers with all types of personal and business accounts and loans. A CLB&T employee since 1992, Hanson earned her AA from NIACC and a BA in finance and banking with a minor in sociology from Buena Vista University. She is involved with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Hancock County as a committee member and team captain; the Garner Asset Project (GAP), serving as a coalition member and a member of the executive committee; Garner-Hayfield Community School Vocational Advisory Committee, Garner United Methodist Church Youth Ministries Council and the RSVP Advisory Council. Hanson is also a member of the Garner Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. |
Joy M. Olson, Assistant Vice President, Consumer Lending
![]() | Joy has been employed with CLB&T June of 1989. Her consumer lending responsibilities include working with individuals requiring auto, boat, home equity and home equity line of credit loans. Olson works closely with the bank’s Clear Sailing “55” Club by making all of the club trip and seminar arrangements, writing the club’s quarterly newsletter and speaking at the club’s monthly “Movie Day”. She has a BA from the University of Northern Iowa in social work and has attended the Iowa Banker’s Consumer Lending School. Joy’s community involvement includes: Meals on Wheels, Arts Council and Zion Lutheran Church. |
Diane L. Ostendorf, Assistant Vice President, New Accounts/IRA Specialist

Diane Ostendorf attended Iowa Central Community College and has attended many classes and seminars related to banking. She began her banking career in 1979 and joined CLB&T in 1989. Ostendorf is responsible for opening new accounts and is the bank's IRA specialist. She is vice president of the Clear Lake Dixiefest board, a mentor for Opportunity Village residents, a United Way volunteer, and donates her time to the American Cancer Society. She is a past member of Chamber First Mates, Hospice Volunteers, and the United Church of Christ board of trustees.
Mary L. Petersen, Assistant Cashier, Drive Up Manager
Mary Petersen is a long time employee of CLB&T. She joined the bank in 1982 and has managed the drive up since that time. Mary is known for how quickly and accurately she processes transactions to keep the flow of cars moving through the drive up and she passes on her expertise to everyone who works in the drive up with her. She is a graduate of Ventura High School and is continually improving her banking skills by utilizing the bank's online training programs. Mary is the bank's events planning coordinator and does a fantastic job of organizing volunteers for numerous community related activities and for bank sponsored events. She is a volunteer herself for United Way, Meals on Wheels, and her church.
Sarah K. Thein, Assistant Cashier, IT/Operations
| Sarah has been employed with CLB&T since June of 1999. Her responsibilities as assistant cashier IT/operations include providing technology support to all three locations of Clear Lake Bank & Trust, working with the bank’s internet banking and bill pay product as well as helping the customer service department in Clear Lake. Sarah earned a BA in finance from Wartburg College as well as an AA from NIACC. She is also actively taking online technology courses. Her community involvement includes serving as the Treasurer of the Ventura Congregate Meals, United Way Day of Caring, and Meals on Wheels. In the fall you will find Sarah officiating high school volleyball. |
Lynne M. Berding, Assistant Trust Officer, Trust Department
| Lynne Berding is the assistant trust officer in our trust department, joining our CLB&T team in 2000. She is responsible for the daily activities of the department and you may also see her helping with the Clear Sailing “55” movie day. Lynne attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville and has been a volunteer for the United Way Day of Caring and Meals on Wheels. |
Jean Mujica, Personal Banking Officer, Mason City Office

Sue Price, Personal Banking Officer, New Accounts
| A Clear Lake native, Sue Price has been a member of the CLB&T team since 1998. Whether you are looking to open a new account, purchase a CD/IRA or have any questions about our products or services, she can assist you with all of your personal banking needs. Sue is also responsible for the training of new employees and serves as the executive assistant to the bank president and chairman of the board. She is a graduate of Hamilton Business College. Sandy Whitehurst, Personal Banking Officer, Consumer Lending
| Sandra Whitehurst has been with CLB&T since 1984 and joined the bank after attending North Iowa Community College. Some of her responsibilities include processing consumer loan applications and preparing the related loan documents. Sandy is also one of the banks new account representatives and has several years experience in opening checking, savings, and money market accounts, as well as certificates of deposit. Her prior banking experience at CLB&T includes working in the customer service and teller operations. She serves the community through her involvement as treasurer of Clear Lake Lion’s Pride, Meals on Wheel’s, Community Kitchen, and Zion Lutheran Church. |
Tammy Orte, Internal Audit Officer, Accounting & Audit
| Tammy Orte is the bank's internal audit officer and has been with CLB&T since July 2006. Tammy is responsible for audit and accounting activities of the bank and also serves as the bank's co-complaince chair person. Tammy earned her BA in accounting from Monmouth College in Monmouth Illinois and an AA rom Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg Illinois. She is involved in Clear Lake Noon Rotary, Meals on Wheels, Daughters of the American Revolution, and helps with Clear Lake Lions football activities. |
Molly J. Watson, Marketing Officer
| Molly Watson joined CLB&T in September 2008 as the bank's marketing officer. In her role, Molly develops and implements CLB&T's marketing, advertising, and promotional initiatives. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in public relations. Molly has served as a volunteer for Bridges Mentoring; American Heart Association; Crisis Intervention; the Mason City Family YMCA's Partner of Youth and Capital Campaign; and Parents United board of directors. |

Hannah Furness, Operations Supervisor
| Hannah Furness originally joined CLB&T in 1974 and returned to the bank in 1990 after taking time off to raise her children. As the bank's operations supervisor, Hannah is responsible for day-to-day supervision of customer service, transaction processing, and bookkeeping. Hannah is originally from Heilbronn, Germany, and speaks German fluently. She is a graduate of Kaufmännische Berufsschule and previously worked for Deutsche Bank and American Express in Heilbronn.
